ITALIAN ITALIAN/AMERICAN ICONS of the 50s and 60s

There is little doubt that the emerging Italian icons of the 50 and 60s music scene stood squarely on the shoulders of their Italian forefathers. From operatic composer Verdi in the 19th century to operatic lyric tenor Pavarotti, praised as one of the 20th century’s greatest Italian singers, Italian culture has undoubtedly contributed to those who followed as creativity, passion, and excellence in their art flowed through their veins.

In the decades of the 50s and 60s, male vocalists such as Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Bobby Darin and female voices such as Connie Francis soared to the top of the charts. Later, Doo Wop groups, then rock groups like Dion and the Belmonts took their place in the hearts of music fans.

Today, in the 21st century, and still relevant to those with refined cultural and artistic palettes, we can continue to celebrate these musical giants in this highly entertaining tribute to some of the best of the best. Divertitevi !
